What advice would you give to your teenage self?
Cherish what Katy Perry sings…”You make me
Feel like I’m livin’ a teenage dream
The way you turn me on, I can’t sleep
Let’s run away and don’t ever look back, don’t ever look back (no).”
Ironically, this is an opportune realisation to dwell back into teenage years, ditto reciprocal to dreaming of a futuristic smarter career during that age.
Time is a constant entity without any rehearsal or fallback mechanism. The biggest advice is laid in the Bhagavad-gita by the lord Shree Krishna, “You earned what you sowed.” Next, the lord says, keep working for the good sake without lust for the fruits. This does not mean the award is not there. However, the award is sometimes misinterpreted or disregarded.
Life is the sum of ups and downs, success and failure, hopes and distress and sometimes a secret chain of events which can’t be traced. There’s no alternative to hard work; hard work but under the guidance of a mentor. Your mentor may be the Sun, books, teacher or something else.
Hormonal expressions are inevitable despite huge advice and directions for a better future. Cultivation of good habits and igniting the wise path may still turn the table, of course. Ever-ready approach to embracing any outcome under any circumstances may be compatible with Lord Krishna’s guiding principles. It is not difficult to develop such attributes at an early age; a seed to be rooted for the future.
Human life is nonetheless an unpredictable passage of time. If success is not seen as an achievement and failure is not treated as a loss then the credentials are high to be happy and healthy.
