Film director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu who won the Oscar award for the film had extensively used Arri Alexa 65 for accurate results. Interestingly, only the natural lights of the daytime were used during the shooting of this film.

Cinematographer Lubezki and director Inarritu worked with Arri Alexa for a seamless experience in the Hollywood film Birdman. The film eventually looked like a single continuous shot throughout. Handheld camera shots were taken with Alexa Plus. Also, they used a specially designed backpack for shootings in remote and tricky scenes with Alexa M.
Ang Lee, director of Life of Pi also chose a camera system, Arri Alexa. Claudio Miranda as a director of photography finally decided to mount six Arri Alexa for better contrast and shades with lights. This Hollywood movie also won the Best Cinematography Award in 2013.
